Falcons excel at states; advance to nationals

Four track runners pose with their coach and their medals.

Next weekend, ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú High School's 4x400-meter team will head to Philadelphia to compete in the New Balance Nationals for track and field.

This comes on the heels of the team's fourth-place finish this past weekend at states in Syracuse with a time 3:25.07. The lightning-fast quartet of Rohan Edwards-Grant, Adam Elia, Daaron Harrell and Malachi Young missed third place by just one-hundredth of a second. The relay team went into the meet seeded eighth.

is ranked ninth in the state after his performance in the long jump at states. Young also placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles, and Edwards-Grant earned 13th place in the 100 meters.

Congratulations Falcons, including coach Elliott Croskey! Continue to practice hard this week and best of luck next weekend!
