Parent Training: 'I Haven't Started It yet!'
.
The ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Department of Special Education Services will hold a virtual parent workshop about supporting learners with executive function challenges.
The workshop, open to all families, will be held 6-7 p.m. via Zoom. Registration is required; sign up at the link above.
Executive functions consist of mental skills that help the brain organize and act on information. These skills enable people to plan, organize, remember things, prioritize, pay attention and get started on tasks. They also help people use information and experiences from the past to solve current problems.
The training will provide tools and supports for accommodating executive function difficulties and strategies for developing executive functions.
Anderson Center Consulting & Training will conduct the training for the district.
