Basketball champs head to state quarterfinals – Our newly crowned two-time defending Section 2 Class AA champion girls’ basketball team opens the state tournament with a quarterfinal matchup Saturday morning – TOMORROW –against Liverpool. Robotics team christens their 'baby' – On Tuesday, members of Robotics Team 1493 officially named their six-week-old, 120-pound baby after two well-loved ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú High teachers. The team and their newly christened robot Dr. K head to competitions in the coming weeks. Learn more.
Senior singer earns statewide honor – ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú High School senior Shaquin Robinson has one of the lead roles in the spring musical “Sister Act,” and he was recognized by the New York State School Musical Association (NYSSMA) for being selected for a statewide chorus. Learn more.

Marching Falcons in two St. Patty's Day parades – The ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Marching Falcons, the district's marching ensemble, will put on their collective Irish March 11 at two local St. Patrick's Day parades: The first is at noon in North ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, starting and finishing at American Legion Post 1610 on North First Street. The second is the annual city parade, beginning at 2 p.m. at Central Avenue and Ontario Street and proceeding down Central to State Street, finishing by Broadway.
All-City Concerts March 15, 22 and 29 – Experience performances by top orchestral, band and choral students from throughout the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú perform in three concerts this month. Learn more.
Time to apply for Summer Youth Employment Program – Attention students aged 14-18: The City of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú is accepting applications through March 31 for the 2023 LIGHT Summer Youth Employment Program, which will run from July 10-Aug. 11. Youth employees will work up to 20 hours per week, earn $14.25 per hour and must meet all eligibility and orientation requirements to participate. Learn more.
