The ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú was notified Tuesday and Wednesday of 33 new confirmed cases of COVID-19. All individuals and their unvaccinated contacts are quarantining at home.
Thirteen cases involve ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú High School:
- Five are associated with ninth grade:
- Two of these individuals were last in the building Dec. 22. The ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú County Health Department has identified no additional contacts with either case.
- One of these individuals was last in the building Dec. 20. The ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú County Health Department has identified 14 additional contacts, but four are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
- One individual was last in the building Dec. 17. The health department has identified no additional contacts with this case.
- The fifth individual was last in the building Dec. 16. The health department has identified no additional contacts with this case.
- Two cases involve 10th grade. In one case, the individual was last in the building Dec. 22, and in the other the individual was last in the building Dec. 17. The health department has identified no additional contacts with either case.
- Two cases involve 11th grade. One individual was last in the building Dec 20, and the other on Dec. 17. The health department has identified no additional contacts with either of these cases.
- Two cases involve 12th grade. In one case, the individual was last in the building Dec. 22, and in the other the individual was last in the building Dec. 9. The health department has identified no additional contacts with either case.
- In another case, the individual was last in the building Dec. 22. The health department has identified no additional contacts with this case.
- In the final case involving ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú High, the individual was last in the building Dec. 21. The health department has identified no additional contacts with this case.
Three cases involve ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú School of Humanities (ASH):
- One is associated with fifth grade. The individual was last in the building Dec. 22. The health department has identified no additional contacts with this case.
- One is associated with second grade. The individual was last in the building Dec. 22. The health department has identified one additional contact, but that person is not required to quarantine because they are fully vaccinated.
- The third case is associated with fourth grade. The individual was last in the building Dec. 20. The health department has identified 12 additional contacts, but three are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
Three cases involve Edmund J. O’Neal School of Excellence:
- In one case, the individual was last in the building Dec. 22. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
- Another is associated with second grade. This individual was last in the building Dec. 17. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
- The third case is associated with kindergarten. This individual was last in the building Dec. 16. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
Three cases involve Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School:
- Two are associated with eighth grade. One individual was last in the building Dec. 22, and the other on Dec. 17. The health department has identified no additional contacts with either case.
- The third case is associated with seventh grade. This individual was last in the building Dec. 21. The health department has identified 12 additional contacts, but six are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
Two cases involve Arbor Hill Elementary School. One is associated with third grade. The individual was last in the building Dec. 21. The health department has identified five additional contacts, but three are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated. The second case is associated with fifth grade. This individual was last in the building Dec. 22. The health department has identified nine additional contacts, but two are not required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
Another case is associated with Delaware Community School. This individual was last in the building Dec. 22. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
Another case is associated with kindergarten at Eagle Point Elementary School. This individual was last in the building Dec. 10. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
Another case is associated with fifth grade at New Scotland Elementary School. This individual was last in the building Dec. 21. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
Another case is associated with sixth grade at North ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Middle School. This individual was last in the building Dec. 12. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
Another case is associated with fifth grade at Philip J. Schuyler Achievement Academy. This individual was last in the building Dec. 17. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
Another case is associated with fifth grade at Pine Hills Elementary School. This individual was last in the building Dec. 13. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
Another case is associated with third grade at Sheridan Preparatory Academy. This individual was last in the building Dec. 20. The health department has identified two additional contacts, but neither is required to quarantine as they are fully vaccinated.
Another case is associated with kindergarten and first grade at Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST). This individual was last in the building Dec. 22. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
The final case is associated with seventh grade at William S. Hackett Middle School. This individual was last in the building Dec. 13. The health department has identified no additional contacts.
Health and safety procedures at all district buildings continue to include cleaning and sanitizing. We will continue with these procedures, and also will continue to follow all required COVID-19 precautions (wearing masks inside all district buildings, hand hygiene, social distancing of 3 feet or more in all classrooms, and other precautions).
We also would like to remind everyone of steps you can take to help be safe:
- Maintain social distance at all times from those you don’t live with.
- Always wear a mask that covers both the mouth and nose when inside at school or when your student is riding a bus to or from school.
- Wash hands with soap and water frequently when out of your home. If you cannot use soap and water, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Don’t touch the eyes, nose or mouth unless your hands are clean.
- DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL WHEN THEY ARE SICK OR HAVE SYMPTOMS:
- Signs of COVID-19 are: fever, fatigue/tiredness, muscle/body aches or pains, congestion, cough, runny nose, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, nausea/vomiting or diarrhea, headache, loss of taste or smell, rash, feeling sick or unwell in any way.
