As defined by Krissy Bruce and Melissa Ofiesh’s constitution, the PK/K students – who on Tuesday registered to vote, researched their options (fruit, cookies or crackers) and then cast their ballots for Wednesday’s snack – enjoyed apples, blueberries and bananas.
A yummy civics lesson and, in case you’re wondering, fruit earned ten votes compared to cookies (5) and crackers (1).
There will be no appeals or recounts following Tuesday’s election in PK/K.

Before making their informed decisions, the young political scientists learned how to register to vote and, most importantly, researched the three choices.
They were also given “I Voted” necklaces to take home and color this evening as they watch the real results come in!
